The MDR-W08L headphones fit inside the ear for jostle-free listening. Created for active listeners, these headphones are better held in place with the wide, over-the-head headband. They are extremely lightweight (.5 ounces) and will provide hours of comfortable listening. Sony uses 13.5 mm driver units in these headphones. While lightweight and small enough to fit inside the ear, they also deliver a good bass sound and wide frequency range (down to 20 Hz.) Neodymium magnets give the headphones maximum energy at a minimal size and weight. The open-air design allows for ambient noise to enter the ear, a safe feature for exercisers as you will hear car horns, passing bikers and dog barks. I have owned my Sony MDR-W08L headphones for over 10 years. They have never failed me and are so comfortable to wear. I didn't even know they still made them until I was searching Amazon.com for headphones for my husband. I totally recommend these, they are excellent!

Seems like a very serviceable product for the price. I use them for workouts at the gym and the sound, while not spectacular, is fine for the use to which I put them. Good value.

They stay in your ear when active.
They are not bothersome in your ear the way ear buds can be.

I love these headphones! They are light and good quality and a great price. No bells and whistles, but they fit well, and unlike the Dynex pair I was using before they have a good shape - they stay in place while I'm running. I have small ears and I can't wear just any in-ear headphones. The buds on these are small enough that they are comfortable for hours. I have had several pairs before. Be prepared - they eventually will break, or the wires get loose and you lose sound in one ear, but at this price, who cares? Mine typically last about a year, and I buy several pairs at a time so I know I have a back up pair around.
