The Acer AL1916CB TFT LCD computer monitor can help office users maximize their efficiency by providing more desktop real estate for simultaneously viewing multiple application windows than smaller, more traditional screens. Gamers and movie lovers will enjoy the high-quality color and rapid response time. It features an SXGA (1280 x 1024) native pixel resolution and a standard, VGA-style D-sub connector for plugging into your computer's graphics card. The SET's fast response time promises flicker-free gaming and video playback. Response time is the interval an LCD screen takes to from its darkest color to its lightest color and back again, measured in milliseconds (ms). This screen's response time is 5 ms, which is at the faster and better end of the spectrum. This screen is likely to display cleaner, sharper images during high-action scenes and with fewer image artifacts than other screens in its class. Also, the AL1916CB is rated with a respectable 700:1 contrast ratio, which represents the difference in luminosity between its brightest and darkest pixels. The screen's brightness is measured at 300 candelas per square meter (cd/m), which relatively bright compared to other LCD monitors.

I've had this monitor for only 2 days now and I think it's the best monitor you can buy for being a non widescreen format. It takes the place of my other Acer LCD monitor (AL1706) which is also an awesome monitor but a bit smaller. It's connected to my other computer now. This monitor has a beautiful display. It's very bright and huge. It's almost like looking at a lighted billboard. I take a lot of pictures and shoot a lot of videos and they look terrific on this monitor. The 700:1 contrast ratio makes for very sharp images that are perfect for editing. Also the 5ms rating makes for very sharp video display without any ghosting whatsoever. It's a snap to setup. I just snapped the base on and plugged it in and that's it. The base is small but very sturdy. The monitor can be tilted up or down. I'm very surprised that there's only a few positive reviews for this monitor. It definitely deserves some popularity. Very highly recommended!!

Excellent color and clarity and the simplest plug and play you could ask for.
Nicely priced little gift to get yourself or someone else deserving of this quaility product.

For a great above average monitor with a good price, this one fits the bill. I've been buying these for our office and they are well constructed and have crisp displays. Adjust feature seems to work wonders with whatever you are currently looking at.
My only complaint is that the display height is low for ergonomics -- I had to move my display up on to a mount to get it at eye level.

Monitor came in 2 days well packaged. No dead pixels. Extremely easy to set up, plug n play- took 1 minute to set up. Stand is stable. Colors are vibrant-very fast response time -5ms. Games, DVDs, video look great.
