5 out of 5 stars Fantastic HD Antenna   September 10, 2010
kb7068
For years, I have used a 150 mile VHF/UHF Antenna, but it never received all of the DFW digital stations. I would get around 10 to 12 digital stations. My home is around 60 miles from the Antenna array which most of the DFW stations use.
After reading the reviews on this HD Antenna, I decided to purchase this.
Installation for this Antenna was very easy except for getting down my old Antenna.
Once I connected the cable to my Phillips 52" LCD, after running an Auto scan, I found 59 stations.
The picture quality and signal strength are great.
I also use a Channel Plus distribution amplifier (model 3025) to send my Direct TV to other TVs in my home. Most of my other TVs could never get any digital changes, but now all of my TVs in the house can get all of the Digital channels. I did discover when using the amplifier which came with the HDTVO, some channels were too strong for the other TVs, so I put a splitter just in front of the HDTVO amplifier, then ran this coax to my Antenna input on my Channel Plus unit.
I was a little hesitant to spend $75 on this small Antenna, but now I wish I had purchased this Antenna sooner. The Case is made of hard plastic, but supported by heavy metal for the mounts. The Dallas area just went through Tropical Storm Hermine with heavy rains and hight winds (up to 35 MPH) and this Antenna was not affect at all. Local Digital channels came in clear without any digital pixel drops, even at the highest winds. If you need a small Antenna for long range digital channels, this is the one to buy.

5 out of 5 stars Great antenna....   September 7, 2010
Justin M. (Louisiana)
I have owned this antenna for about 3 years now. Works perfectly for me.

I live 35 miles east of Lake Charles and 35 miles west of Lafayette, LA. Our local television stations in Lafayette broadcast FOX, CBS AND ABC - all of which I receive a 96 to 100% signal. Our Lake Charles station broadcast NBC, which I also receive 96 to 100% signal.

This is a great antenna and recommend to anyone.

5 out of 5 stars Stonger than advertised, small, great value   September 1, 2010
Tracy Dyson
According to antennaweb all of the stations in our area (North Fort Worth, just east of the Texas Motor Speedway) are between 34 and 37 miles away and within about 3 degrees of one another. It said our zone was blue and violet, calling for a medium or large directional with pre-amp. Based on reviews we bought this in May, 2010, as it was the right price and was small enough to mount in our attic. I was able to attach it to a beam in the attic about 25 feet above ground level near a window that faced south / southwest, which was perfect. We have a newer home that was wired well so all I had to do was get 50 feet of coax from the new antenna to our closet. A splitter was already there to send the signal out to 4 different rooms. I aimed the antenna without using a compass and had a strong signal right away to all rooms. Before installing it in the attic we tried it out and were actually able to get very good reception on the ground floor in the middle of the house while holding it at shoulder level. We compared the over-the-air signal to the AT&T uverse HD broadcast of a Texas Rangers game by switching the source back and forth. The over-the-air picture quality was noticeably better. It's been 3 1/2 months and we have had zero problems and have never had an issue with weak signal strength. Installation was a pretty easy one person job. We may have been shorted one of the screws, but I had something available to replace it. I would buy this again without hesitation.

I cancelled cable, wanted to try an antenna, but was skeptical of reception/quality because I have very tall trees all around my wooded yard. This antenna has worked out great. I found it here on amazon for $45 less than other retailers. It's a directional antenna, so you have to point it in the direction of the broadcast tower. Most of our stations were in one direction (about 5-20 miles), but FOX was 180-degrees in the other (about 35 miles). I ended up splitting the difference and pointing the antenna in the middle of the two. I receive all channels that I'm able to clearly, and when the stations broadcast HD, it looks great. Very happy with this purchase (and saving $75/month on cable).

5 out of 5 stars Attic Installation   August 24, 2010
WJF (Central Florida, USA)
My first attempt was with RCA ANT1450B Multi-Directional Digital Flat Amplified Home Theater Antenna (Black) , purchased at The Great Wall mart. Mounted in the attic at E 90°, it would receive all local stations except NBC which transmits in Hi-VHF. The Terk HDTVo, attic mounted at E 90°, receives all locals including NBC. It also receives the Tampa Stations which are located at 215°...without repositioning the antenna.

Orlando cluster - 40 miles / E 90°
Tampa cluster - 60 miles / SSW 215°
