This screen is exactly as advertised, and if your primary motivation is a home theater with a very small budget; this will probably suit you. It is very easy to mount (I installed a couple of screw hooks into the ceiling and hung the screen from them in about 10 minutes). The surface is very bright and contrasty. The negatives are: uneven surface (of course, this might be different from screen to screen but mine has some subtle "bulges" across the surface). If your room has much air current at all, the screen will move and the picture will get "wavy". The retractor is very finicky, I have to pul the screen all the way down and keep trying until I get the speed just right between not fast enough to go all the way back into the case, or so fast that it bounces off the mounting hooks. I think if you intend to mount this on a wall instead of a ceiling, these two problems would be eliminated or greatly diminished.

The screen is good in quality and the picture is nice. A little heavy (maybe all screens of this size are heavy). The problem is that the screen retracting process is a little tricky. But one you learn it, then it is a breeze.
good Low Cost Screen December 17, 2006
I got a refurb model for $80, it looks great and works great. Easy to hang, though I had to buy some hooks for my hanging situatuion. But it is very adaptable, and pretty dang big!
