Sony's 42-inch 16:9 flat-panel plasma TV comes with everything you need to enjoy quality programming, including a built-in NTSC TV tuner and built-in 9-watts-per-channel stereo speakers. The KE-42TS2 features a high 1,000:1 contrast ratio for deeper blacks and vivid colors and 43 percent improved brightness. You can also connect it to your computer to serve as a monitor. This TV offers Sony's TruSurround Sound SR 3D Audio processing, which creates the effect of surround sound using only the two built-in speakers. This technology eliminates the need to sit in the "sweet spot" where the audio sounds best, ensuring that any seat in the house is a good one. It also features reverse 3:2 pulldown, which reassembles the frame sequence of your original film-based content from DVDs to more accurately reproduce the original 24-frame-per-second material. The KE-42TS2 sports a resolution of 1024 x 1024 (1024 dots x 1024 lines), and its built-in NTSC tuner means you may not need any external hardware to watch TV. For precision control, the KE-42TS2 allows you to make color temperature adjustments (to compensate for variations in ambient lighting) and dot phase adjustment when being used as a computer monitor. Its onscreen menus are available in English, Spanish, and French, and it can display closed captioning for the hearing impaired or silent viewing. A direct DVI (digital video interface) HDTV connection ensures that through digital transmission of HD signals from external devices featuring a DVI connector, images retain their fullest quality. The set also has HD component-video and S-Video inputs for connecting a DVD player or other high-resolution device, an RF input for connecting a VCR, and composite-video inputs for connecting a camcorder or video game. Its audio outputs include a separate subwoofer feed. Audio and video inputs are located on both the front and the back of the TV for easy access. For all of you logical minded folks out there - I had sent an email to jkr_seller@yahoo.com. This seller of he "Sony KE42TS2 42" WEGA HDTV Integrated Flat Panel Plasma TV" for $800 requests the interested buyer to do this.
The cheapest place I have found this TV is at GoodGuys for $3,499, so I am obviously on the alert. I have received the following email text from email address: "Ginger Zimmerman" "

Just as R. Zurbick correctly forewarned, the buyer is asking to be paid outside of Amazon through a 3rd party service via Wester Union. I have responded back to the seller to see if they will accept legit payment such as through amazon and/or a credit card. I will post a review if I hear back... Until then, I am remaining open minded but very guarded. I suggest you do the same.

I owned this plasma for appx two(2) months now and I am so glad that I bought it, however I should of bought it a long time ago because I missed a lot for quality HD tv. I have my TV hooked up to Comcast cable in Chicago Il. I am very happy with their service but there is a additional charge of $5.00usc for high definition hook up. Well worth the money! Also I would like to give kudos to A.B.T. store where I purchased the tv, Sony Dream System along with a beautiful stand for everything, If you want the best out there go directly to A.B.T store in suburb of Chicago, well worth the trip!! If you just want a simple TV don't go there. What else more could I say? P.S. I watch more TV now then ever! Thats' OK 'cause I am retired!
