As far as this cable goes, its top quality as most Tripp Lite products are.
I bought this to go with my LaCie external drive. Unfortunately the drive came with a cable for each type of connection, but this was not mentioned in the product description. I kept this cable, you never know what the next drive may bring.
So, double check to see if you need it before you buy it.
