Used these cables to connect my cable company DVR to a Samsung LCD and they work great. Used a Toslink Cable for the audio Mediabridge Toslink Cable - 6ft - Optical Digital Audio Cable. Also working great. Getting 1080i video and dolby digital out of my DVR. As a note, I found out after a little research on the internet that cable companies transmit in 1080i maximum resolution so if you don't have an extra HDMI input available on your TV, using a component cable will provide maximum resolution anyway for a DVR. I believe only Blu-Ray and PS3 can do 1080P. I only have one available HDMI port and used it for my new Blu-Ray player Sony BDP-S350 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player . Hooked that up with an HDMI cable Mediabridge Ultra-High Speed HDMI Cable - 6ft - Version 1.3b Category 2 - 1080p - PS3 - Blu-Ray and everything is working great.
Really nice heavy duty cables. Nice Packaging.
