The buttons on the remote are unlit, very stiff and are difficult to use for anyone with a joint disorder, such as arthritis. It is also poorly designed and white (dirtying easily). Although likely due to the receiver, not the remote, changing channels is not instantaneous, in fact, not even close, taking 4-11 seconds.
 Direct TV All in one remote September 21, 2008
This is the same exact remote that comes with the Direct TV box. As we found out Direct TV does not stand behind their products. To purchase this remote from Direct TV would have been double the price. My son was the one that went to Amazon to purchase the remote and I am so glad he did. It came in a timely matter, package securely, and is exactly what we wanted. I was amazed that Direct TV wanted double the price that we paid through Amazon. I will purchase needed items in the future.
Fantastic RF remote for DirecTV! August 17, 2008
This remote worked perfectly with my H20 receiver. I hung a LCD on my bedroom wall and wanted to put the receover box in the closet so that it wasn't visible. This remote allowed me to do just that! Took me 5 minutes to set up and has worked flawlessly ever since.

If you need RF you won't get it with this remote. I should have gone to DirecTV in the first place. Now I have to deal with a return and get screwed on shipping. DirecTV charges $25 with free shipping and it's the real thing.

Save yourself the money if you are a Directv subscriber; the IR remote is $15 and shipped free, the RF remote is $25 and also shipped free. Just order from their site.
